Another very successful NSW Junior Championships for St George Members from 8/02/2013 to 10/02/2013.
Great efforts all round from the 16 members who competed at SOPAC with plenty of PB’s set over the weekend - especially when you consider that a good number of our junior athletes were the youngsters of their competing age category. Our Medal tally was 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze plus another 4 fourth place finishes and several more results not far off the winning circle. Thanks to Super Coach Ray Russell. Special mention must go to:
- New PB & Silver medal for U16 Women’s Discus Throw in a New Club Record result of 41.05m.
- New PB & Gold medal in the U16 Women’s Shot Put in a New Club Record result of 16.05m. This result is also a new State Record and an improvement on her own recently established Australian 3kg Shot Put record. It was also her second World Youth Qualifier this season, but under Athletics Australia selection criteria she is too young to be selected.
