NSW All Schools Championships

Congratulations to all the St George athletes who participated in the NSW All Schools Championships at SOPAC.

Our female medallists were

(1st, 17 Yrs Discus),
Ruby Ewe
(1st, 19 Yrs Discus),

(1st, 17 Yrs Javelin),

(1st, 17 Yrs High Jump & 2nd, 17 Yrs Javelin),
Laura Flynn
(1st, 17 Yrs Pole Vault),
Carolena Kostas
(2nd, 13 Yrs 800m & 3rd, 13 Yrs 400m),
Matilda Werner
(2nd, 14 Yrs Javelin), and
Lucy Stewart
(3rd, 19 Yrs 800m & 19 Yrs 1500m).

Our male medallists were
Vincent Donnadieu
(1st, 15 Yrs 800m & 15 Yrs 1500m),
Connor Mulholland
(2nd, 15 Yrs 2000m Steeplechase), and
Scott Manns
(2nd, 14 Yrs 100m Hurdles).

Club Tent Unveiled

The new club tent was unveiled at Scarborough Park. The tent also has detachable rear and side walls not shown here.

In attendance was Mr Frank Sartor, State Government Member for Rockdale.

New York Marathon

Tony O'Connor
has completed the New York Marathon in the time of 3:07:19, and our club auditor
Michael Hanrahan
has completed the marathon in the time of 3:50:46. Well done Tony & Michael!

World Masters Games

Congratulations to the following St George athletes who have won age group medals at the World Masters Games in Sydney.

  • Frank Scorzelli
    has placed first in the 8km cross country race and third in the 10km road race.
  • Jose Carvalho
    has placed third in the 8km cross country race.
