St George entered two teams at the Hospital Bed Race at Kogarah.
We finished in 4th and 5th places, narrowly beaten by the width of a wheel in the semi-final and thus missing the opportunity to race in the final.
A superb effort by all of our team members.
Thank you for showing the "Red & White".

David Beck
scored a place in a team that was one racer down. Our two "jockeys" Ben Williams
and Mark Simpson
were excellent, and both had trained for weeks leaping out and sack racing techniques - thank you Jockeys.Kogarah Bed Race - Photo: Cathy Williams

City 2 Surf Volunteers Thank You
Posted Thursday 27 Aug 2009 by Michael Gentle
This year the City2Surf was the World's Largest Running event and all groups coped extremely well - some under extreme pressure. So this is an achievement of which all should be very proud.
It has not gone unnoticed by our event team here and I want to extend our thanks from Fairfax for all your hard work and support on the day. I have said it before but this event really does need volunteers to make it the success that it is today.
Please pass my thanks on to all who were involved on the day. Thank you again, and please if any of you have any feedback from the day I would love to hear it
Kind regards
